I have installed Ubuntu 10.4 and want to install the driver for my Fritz WLAN USB stick according to !wlan_usb_stick (German site... sorry). Now I am trying to install Wine for using the Windows drivers. Because I do not have a cable connection to the router, I downloaded some packages on a windows PC and used an USB stick to install them on linux. But now when doing ./configure in the Wine dir I get this:
Hi everyone. I have an USB wireless adapter, ID MQ4WUG2400, and the update driver stopped on windows XP version. I used it until windows 7 but I cannot in windows 10. I would like help to change the INF file to enable the installation in windows 10. The driver files are in the zip file below, inside Driver folder: 802.11g_Wireless_USB_Adapter (mediafire.com) I added [TexasInstruments.NTamd64.6.1] information in TUSB1150.INF file but didn't work. I tried too install USB wireless adapter choosing AboCom System drivers because they have the WUG2700 version for net adapter on "devices manager" of windows but didn't work. The Hardware ID is USB\VID_07B8&PID_B21A and in netr7364.inf file has configurations for Abacom USB\VID_07B8&PID_B21B. So, I tried add lines with the informations about USB\VID_07B8&PID_B21A but didn't work. I don't know if changing only INF files will enable the drivers installation on windows 10 or if would be necessary changing the SYS files to work.
Fritz Wlan Stick Driver Windows 7
No, because like I said the drivers went updated by manufacturer up to windows XP. Look the firts lines of the TUSB1150.INF file: ; Win98/WinME/Win2k/WinXP Unified installation file for TI ACX WLAN Adapter ;DriverVer=06/01/2005,7.2.2.42 The WUG2400 hardware has Texas Instruments chipset TNETW1450. I found some manufacturers that use the same hardware but making yours own files drivers: AboCom WUG2400; Safecom SWLUT-54125; Aztech WL635USB; ZyXEL G-260 802.11g Wireless USB Adapter; AVM GmbH FRITZ!WLAN USB Stick; Hamlet HNWU254G; Roper RO80211GTI-USB. Basiclly, the files are the same only differents manufacturer names. I sent email for Texas Instruments, AboCom and ZyXEL and they said the same thing: The driver of WGU2400 will not be update from them. So, I am trying to do myself with help of course.
Thank you so much to spend your time for answer me but I already had did all what you said before to post this my question. I spent many time looking for a solution on the internet before post my question. The point is that the drivers update of my USB wireless stick was stopped on windows XP version. It worked until windows 7. It's hard to believe that I have to throw the USB wireless stick in the trash just because of outdated drivers and I can't do anything to change it. The WUG2400 has Texas Instruments chipset TNETW1450. I found the AVM Fritz WLAN v1.1 that has the same chipset and drivers for windows 64bits. I forced to install this driver (fwlan64.inf) for my USB wireless stick but didn't work. So I changed. So, using the fwlan64.inf as base I changed the TUSB1150.INF file of my USB wireless stick but an error message is shown saying that is missing a service entry. I think that some ajusts can make it works.
I have a FRITZ!WLan Stick n v2. It is working sometimes, but then it disconnects (the wireless menu dissapears from the network menu and then appears again). I searched on the internet and found out that this has to do with the stick recognized as a cd-rom due to the windows drivers on it. 2ff7e9595c
